Our God is not limited by time.

This may in fact be the hardest reality for us to wrap our head around.  The eternal nature of God.  The psalmist writes;

2 Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Psalm 90:2

Our timeless God has neither a past nor a future because His is an everlasting presence.  Peter tries to explain in human terms the timelessness of God as he writes;

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
2 Peter 3:8

God’s eternal nature in a society where literally nothing lasts forever is very confusing.  It is the attribute that I am least able to even attempt to explain.

Because our God is not limited by time we can be confident in the working out of His will in His “Good and Gracious time”. This, of course, is not time at all.

I pray that in my limited understanding, I learn to trust and rely on a limitless God not bound by the limits of space, or knowledge, or power, or even time.
