Just about everything can be purchased in a Christmas theme, and teddy bears are no exception. Those of you from the Dayton’s era will recall the Christmas Bears. Each year it had a new design and urged you to add it to your collection. I know at one point we had a couple Christmas bears around our home. While the bears from Dayton’s may be gone, there is a Christmas bear that I hope you all have this year.
The bear I am talking about is found in Scripture, it is not the bear that David killed while protecting the flocks. This bear is from St. Paul and it is found in the book of Colossians;
13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13
I pray that this Christmas Bear, which offers forgiveness is present in your life this Christmas. There are too many family gatherings where this Christmas Bear is not present. This year unwrap this gift to those around you and find the true spirit of the celebration of Christmas, a son who comes to offer forgiveness to the world!
