This morning was a morning like most, I got up, showered, got dressed, ate breakfast, and headed to work. For the past 2 years the “headed to work” involved getting in the car and driving to OfficeMax, but not today. My commute has become much shorter. my office is now just 3 feet away from my bedroom.
Today marks the official start of a new chapter for GodPonders. Starting today I work full-time for GodPonders, and a few hours a week at OfficeMax just to get me out of the house. This is a journey that has been in the dreaming stages for many years, but as the photo shows, the path has not been smooth. In many ways the nature of the path makes the journey of greater value.
I have grown to appreciate the bumps, in the path. Even the times when the path grew so faith you could hardly see it continuing on has been well worth the effort. I have also learned along the way that my role in this journey was just to stay on the path. How awesome it is to serve a God who calls us and gives to us desires for a journey we could never do on our own.
So i just wanted to take a moment on the start of this new day, and give credit where credit is due. I am humbled by the way the Lord has opened doors to make this ministry a reality in my life. I have been given a gift for storytelling, and a passionate love for Christ that compels me to Ponder God and Proclaim what he has done!
To all the faithful prayer partners, and to those who have been so very encouraging of this journey – Thank You. Don’t stop now…
You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:11 (NIV)
It wouldn’t be right for me to not leave you with something to Ponder so here it is…
Something to Ponder: When have you seen God guide you through pathways that were far from smooth? Take a moment and share your thoughts with us in the comment section. We would be blessed to hear from you.
